HELIX42
Visual Identity for a Quantum Computing Startup (
Work in Progress)
CONTEXT
Helix42 is a startup operating in the quantum computing space, a highly technical and rapidly evolving field where communication is often complex and difficult to access.
The goal was to develop a visual identity capable of translating advanced technological concepts into a clear, distinctive, and forward-looking brand.

CHALLENGE
APPROACH
Designing for deep tech required balancing opposing needs:
• Communicating highly complex and abstract concepts
• Maintaining clarity and accessibility for broader audiences
• Standing out within a visually homogeneous and highly technical industry
• Creating a credible identity for both technical stakeholders and potential investors
I explored the relationship between complexity and clarity, developing a visual system that simplifies advanced concepts without losing depth or credibility.
The focus was on:
• Reducing visual noise while preserving meaning
• Creating a distinctive yet credible visual language
• Building a flexible system adaptable across communication contexts
SYSTEM DESIGN
• Developed a contemporary visual identity aligned with the expectations of the tech and innovation space
• Introduced a bold and recognisable colour palette to enhance memorability
• Designed a typographic system balancing clarity and technical precision
• Translated abstract concepts into structured visual elements
• Built a flexible identity system adaptable across digital and investor-facing materials

Status: Work in progress — ongoing exploration of visual language and system applications.
